Reelist, Inc. ("Reelist," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in connection with our websites, products, and services, including www.reelist.com (the "Site").

This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with applicable United States privacy laws, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed by Reelist on behalf of customers, end users, visitors, and job candidates, including individuals located in the European Union and the United Kingdom, where such data is received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. This Privacy Policy does not apply to personal data processed in the employment context for Reelist employees.

Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information directly from individuals, from our customers, and automatically through use of our services. The types of personal information we collect may include:

  • Identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and social media handles

  • Employment and professional information, including resumes, application materials, and employment history

  • User-generated content submitted through our platform

  • Usage, analytics, and advertising data processed on behalf of customers

  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring URLs, and access times

  • Approximate location data derived from IP address

  • Billing and payment information processed by third-party payment processors

Purposes for Processing Personal Information

We process personal information for the following purposes:

  • Providing, operating, maintaining, and improving the Reelist platform and services

  • Enabling recruiting, advertising, applicant intake, candidate engagement, and candidate management on behalf of customers

  • Communicating with users, including service-related communications and marketing communications

  • Providing customer support and responding to inquiries

  • Performing analytics, product development, targeted advertising, and AI or model training where permitted by law

  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our agreements

Personal data is processed only for purposes that are compatible with the purpose for which it was collected or authorized by the individual.

Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, Reelist processes personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required by law.

Sharing of Personal Information and Onward Transfers

Reelist does not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information to the following categories of third parties for the purposes described above:

  • Customers and their designated systems, including applicant tracking systems and human capital management platforms

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers

  • Analytics and performance monitoring providers

  • Messaging, email delivery, and communication service providers

  • Customer relationship management and customer support providers

  • Payment processors and billing providers

  • Advertising and marketing technology partners, where applicable

Reelist enters into contracts with third parties that require them to provide at least the same level of protection required by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) Principles and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Reelist remains liable under the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF for onward transfers of personal data to third parties unless Reelist proves it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our Site, analyze usage, personalize content, and support advertising activities. Where required by law, we obtain consent for non-essential cookies. Individuals may manage cookie preferences through browser settings or available consent tools, subject to applicable law.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing our services, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Personal information is deleted or anonymized when no longer required.

Security

Reelist maintains administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and incident response procedures.

Individual Rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals have the right to access personal data that Reelist maintains about them and to request correction, amendment, or deletion of inaccurate data. Individuals may also have the right to object to or limit certain processing activities.

Individuals may opt out of the disclosure of their personal data to third parties or of the use of their personal data for purposes that are materially different from the purpose for which it was originally collected.

Individuals may also opt out of marketing communications at any time.

EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and UK Extension Notice

Reelist complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Reelist has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this Privacy Policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern.

Complaints and Dispute Resolution

In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, Reelist commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of personal data. EU and UK individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our handling of personal data should first contact Reelist through our Help Center at https://help.reelist.com or by emailing privacy@reelist.com.

If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, Reelist commits to refer unresolved complaints concerning personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF to JAMS, an independent dispute resolution provider based in the United States. The services of JAMS are provided at no cost to the individual.

Binding Arbitration

Under certain conditions, individuals may invoke binding arbitration in accordance with Annex I of the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, provided that the individual has delivered notice to Reelist and followed the procedures and conditions set forth in Annex I.

Regulatory Oversight

Reelist is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the United States Federal Trade Commission with respect to compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF.

Disclosure for Legal Requests

Reelist may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, in accordance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Children

Reelist does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Reelist, please contact us through our Help Center.

International Data Transfers

Personal information may be stored and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where Reelist or its service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Reelist may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When required by law, we will notify individuals of material changes through appropriate means. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
