Commitment to Ethical AI

At Reelist, we believe talent is the ultimate differentiator for any organization. We use AI to help our clients create videos, media, and ads that reach candidates more effectively. AI can amplify creativity and efficiency, but it must always be used responsibly.

We commit to building and applying AI in ways that enhance human decision-making, promote fairness, and respect the rights of candidates, customers, and communities.

Our Ethical AI Principles

Transparent and Explainable
We are clear about how our AI works and what it does not do. Our technology is designed to support transparency, not to obscure decisions behind “black box” models.

Fair
Our tools are designed to reduce, not amplify, bias. We support human recruiters and employers in their decision-making — we do not replace them.

Robust, Secure, and Safe
Our systems are built with privacy, security, and reliability at their core. We safeguard candidate and customer data, ensuring AI is used responsibly throughout its lifecycle.

Accountable
We take responsibility for how our technology is applied. We work closely with customers to ensure our AI tools are deployed ethically and in alignment with legal requirements.

Our Position on Local Law 144 (NYC AI Hiring Law)

Reelist’s platform does not qualify as an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) under Local Law 144. We do not screen, rank, or reject candidates. Instead, we focus on content creation and distribution — empowering human teams to reach and engage talent.

When customers integrate Reelist with third-party systems that may qualify as AEDTs, those vendors are responsible for bias audits, disclosures, and notices. We support our customers in aligning workflows with these obligations.

Compliance as a Foundation

Ethics without security is incomplete. Alongside our AI principles, Reelist maintains strict compliance with industry and regulatory standards, including:

  • SOC 2 Type II across all five Trust Services Criteria

  • GDPR (EU & UK)

  • CCPA/CPRA (California)

  • VCDPA (Virginia)

These standards ensure that the values outlined in our Ethical AI pledge are not just aspirational but operational, backed by independently verified controls and regulatory compliance.
