Scope of Advertiser Terms
These Advertiser Terms (“Advertiser Terms”) apply in addition to, and should be read together with, the Reelist Terms and Conditions (the “General Terms”). By creating, purchasing, or placing advertisements on Reelist, you agree to be bound by both the General Terms and these Advertiser Terms. In the event of a conflict between the two, these Advertiser Terms will control with respect to your advertising activities.
Definitions
For purposes of these Advertiser Terms:
“Advertiser” means any individual, company, or organization that uses Reelist to create, purchase, distribute, or manage advertising or promotional content, whether paid or organic, directly or through authorized representatives. This includes, without limitation, employers, recruiters, staffing agencies, financial services companies, and other entities posting job opportunities, financial promotions, social content, or related advertising material through Reelist.
Advertising and Promotional Content Requirements
All advertisements placed on Reelist — including employment, finance, or any other category of ads — must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
Non-discrimination laws. Advertisers may not, directly or indirectly, express a preference for or against individuals based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
Industry-specific regulations. Advertisers are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable industry and product-specific rules, such as those governing employment advertising, financial products and services, lending, securities, healthcare, or other regulated categories.
General advertising standards. Advertisers must comply with truth-in-advertising laws, required disclosures, disclaimers, and conditions tied to their industry, including wage transparency and pay equity rules where applicable.
Other applicable laws. Advertisers are responsible for compliance with international laws, industry standards, and self-regulatory guidelines in jurisdictions where their ads are displayed or targeted.
Reelist reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove any advertisement that violates these requirements and may suspend or terminate the Advertiser’s account.
Advertiser Responsibility for Content
Advertisers are solely responsible for the content of their advertisements. Reelist does not control, endorse, or guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, quality, or legality of any advertisements submitted by users.
You acknowledge that advertisements may sometimes contain material that is offensive, misleading, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable. Reelist disclaims all liability for such content and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove or restrict any advertisement that violates these Advertiser Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.
No Endorsement. Publication of any advertisement on Reelist does not constitute an endorsement by Reelist of the advertiser, its products, services, or employment or financial opportunities.
Third-Party Platform Approval
Advertisements placed through Reelist are subject to review and approval by third-party platforms where they are published (including but not limited to Meta, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok). Reelist does not control or guarantee the approval process, timing, or placement decisions of these platforms.
Advertisers acknowledge that delays, rejections, or modifications may occur at the discretion of the third-party platform and are outside of Reelist’s control.
No Refunds for Third-Party Decisions. Reelist is not responsible for any costs, fees, or losses incurred as a result of a third-party platform’s decision to delay, reject, or modify an advertisement.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
Reelist uses artificial intelligence (AI) and automated technologies to assist with the creation, targeting, optimization, delivery, and other aspects of the ad creation and management process. These tools are intended to enhance human decision-making, creativity, and efficiency.
Advertisers remain solely responsible for reviewing and approving all ad content before publication and for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and platform policies. Reelist does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or compliance of AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs and assumes no liability for any claims, penalties, or disputes arising from Advertiser use of such content.
Payments, Credits, and Tokens
Reelist uses a token-based system for Paid Services. Different types of tokens may be issued for different services. For example:
Ad Tokens may only be used for the purchase of advertising services through Reelist.
General Tokens may be used to purchase other Paid Services, such as SMS messages, WhatsApp messages, AI credits, or other features offered within the platform.
Tokens are not interchangeable across categories, have no independent cash value, and may only be used within the Reelist platform.
When you make a payment to Reelist, your dollars are converted into the appropriate type of Tokens, depending on the service purchased. Reelist retains a service fee or percentage as part of this process.
All Token purchases are final and non-refundable. Tokens cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash or any other consideration.
True-Ups for Ads Only. If the actual cost of an advertisement is less than the budgeted amount (e.g., $500 budgeted, $475 spent), any remainder will be returned to your account balance in Ad Tokens only. True-ups do not apply to General Tokens or other Paid Services.
Promotional Credits. Reelist may issue promotional credits from time to time. Promotional credits:
Have no cash value;
Are non-transferable and non-refundable;
May only be used for the designated category of Paid Service;
May be subject to expiration dates and other conditions specified at issuance.
Subscription Allotments. Certain subscription plans include a monthly allotment of Tokens for Paid Services (for example, Ad Tokens that cover a set amount of advertising spend). Tokens allotted under a subscription expire at the end of the applicable subscription cycle (based on Reelist’s fiscal month) if not used. Tokens must be used while the subscription is active.
Additional Purchases. If you purchase additional Tokens beyond your subscription allotment, Reelist will apply any refunds or reimbursements first against the monthly subscription Tokens before applying them to purchased Tokens.
Service Pausing and Expiration. Ads funded by Ad Tokens may be paused for up to thirty (30) days. After that time, the ad will be canceled automatically and any unused Ad Tokens will be returned to your account balance.
Advertiser Indemnification
In addition to the general indemnification provisions in the General Terms, Advertisers agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Reelist from any claims, damages, penalties, or disputes arising out of or related to:
Ad content, including offensive, misleading, or unlawful material;
Violations of employment, financial, or non-discrimination laws;
Third-party platform actions, including delays, rejections, or modifications; and
Any other claims, damages, or disputes arising from your use of the Site or Services in connection with advertising activities.
Plain-English Summary:
Advertisers are responsible for making sure their ads follow all laws — whether for jobs, finance, or other industries — and for all the content they submit. Reelist doesn’t endorse or guarantee ads, and platforms like Meta or LinkedIn can reject or change them at their discretion. Reelist uses AI to help create, target, and manage ads, but advertisers are still responsible for compliance and accuracy. Payments are made in tokens: Ad Tokens for ads, General Tokens for things like SMS, WhatsApp, or AI credits. Tokens aren’t refundable, don’t have cash value, and can’t be swapped between categories. If an ad spends less than the budget, leftover funds are returned in Ad Tokens. Subscription tokens expire each billing cycle, promotional credits may expire or have conditions, and ads can only be paused for 30 days before cancellation. Advertisers also agree to cover Reelist for any legal claims tied to their ads.
